Tonight and tomorrow it's Purim, one of the coolest Jewish festivals. Children and adults dress up and go to the synagogue. Whenever the name Haman is mentioned in the text that's being read, we make a lot of noise, because he was such an evil guy who wanted to kill all the Jews living in the Persian Empire about 2500 years ago. (Haman was like a Prime Minister). The queen of Persia, Esther, was actually Jewish, but the king didn't know this until she begged him to save her life and the lives of her people. The Jews were saved and this is why we celebrate Purim.
On Purim people give money for charity and give each other sweets and fruits, and I got this from my cousins:
